Activities In West Wales
West Wales offers one of the best outdoor leisure centres in Europe where you'll find some of the best environments for a dozen or more adventurous activities.
Golf is well catered for throughout the area with the nearest courses being at Saron (a family-owned pay-and-play 9 hole course with 18 tees set in 50 acres which is only a few miles away) and Cardigan (a more challenging 18 hole links/clifftop golf course enjoying panoramic views over the river Teifi Estuary and Cardigan Bay).
Why not try sailing, windsurfing, power boating, keelboating, paddleboarding or kayaking in Cardigan Bay organised through Cardigan Bay Watersports? Or you could have a gentle canoe paddle through the Cilgerran Gorge with its otters and kingfishers (see Heritage Canoes). If you fancy something a bit more invigorating you could try a white-water canoe ride on the international course at Llandysul (Llandysul Paddlers). If you are feeling really brave you could try coasteering along the Pembrokeshire coastline. This is a highly popular and much talked about activity in West Wales that will certainly get the adrenaline pumping. It combines swimming, wave dodging, climbing, traversing and cliff jumping. Cliff jumps range from 3 feet up to 45 feet for the more adventurous!
Practise your riding skills with a ride in the beautiful countryside, or an exhilarating ride along the beach.
The main club activities are Slalom, Freestyle, Surf and Canadian Canoeing. We welcome families, disabled, competitive and recreational paddlers. There is no age limit and everyone is welcome.www.llandysul-paddlers.org.ukApprox 4.7 miles*
