Fishing In West Wales
With miles of exciting coast and countryside scattered with pristine rivers and lakes, the fishing in Wales is among the very best in Britain.
There is a lot to offer sea and coarse anglers. Game anglers will adore the Teifi, the Queen of game fishing rivers. We can't guarantee the fish will bite, but you are assured of beautiful scenery and the chance to catch Salmon, Sea trout and Brown trout in the Teifi, or sea bass along the coast.
- Game fishing on the river Teifi (salmon and sea trout) between April and October. The Teifi is very close by. You can buy a day ticket to fish at Cenarth, or the waters of the Teifi Trout Association or the Llandysul Anglers Association (for a small charge) or you could employ the services of the Teifi River Guides to give you a tour of the river and talk through river conditions, the different pools and fishing tactics or arrange one of their packages which includes coaching;
- Trout or course fishing on a lake, there are many private ones in the area; or
- Sea fishing for bass and other fish from the coast or a boat. The coast line is amazing and there are lots of beaches and areas of rocks close by that you can fish from. The beautiful estuaries of Cardigan and Newport provide opportunities to search for Bass as they come in and out with the tide.
